Support for the Local Economy

Our charity exists to try and improve the opportunities, training and economy of our local community on the Rame Peninsula. It is therefore very important to us that we support the area's businesses, organisations and activities as much as we can.

What this means in practice:

Priority for local suppliers. We have a firm policy to request quotations and services from the local providers on the Peninsula first. We will not compromise on quality or level of service - but providing that need is met, we will always prioritise those businesses that are located in our community. Thanks to our multiple projects, we have put several hundred thousand pounds into our area over the years, and will carry on doing so.

The Rame Business Centre. We opened this new service in 2010, thanks to a start-up grant from the East Cornwall Local Action Group. We offer support to small businesses locally: we can help with publicity, marketing, recruitment, accountancy and book-keeping, office space, training and more. For more information, please ring 823015 or e-mail Julie.hoggarth@pointeuropa.org

The Rame Community Directory. We produce an annual directory, delivered free to every home and business on the Peninsula. The guide includes all the community groups we know of, transport timetables, useful contact numbers and a huge range of services offered locally from restaurants to rewiring. If you would like more information, please contact the Business Centre, details above.
